Kishtwar ,DD, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Manoj Kumar, JKAS today chaired a comprehensive review meeting with Executive Engineer REW Kishtwar Er. Satbir Singh, BDOs, AEE REW Sub-Division Kishtwar/Chatroo, Panchayat Inspectors, DRP, SAU MGNREGA, Kishtwar and POs MGNREGS to assess the progress of schemes being implemented by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in District Kishtwar. Under MGNREGA, the ACD directed the officers to ensure maximum provision of wage employment to all active Job Card holders, achieve 100% timely payment of wages, clear all pending Social Audit issues and ensure comprehensive monitoring of works through the Area Officer App. He impressed upon the field functionaries to strictly adhere to guidelines and maintain transparency and accountability at all levels under MGNREGS
Reviewing PMAY-G, the ACD called for expediting completion of all sanctioned houses and directed that defaulter beneficiaries be dealt with strictly as per norms. He emphasised that benefits must reach only genuine beneficiaries and that field staff should extend full facilitation support for timely completion of dwelling units. In respect of District/UT Capex Budget, the ACD stressed that all allotted works must be completed with strict adherence to quality parameters and within the stipulated time period. He further directed that defaulting contractors be proceeded against under rules, and instructed the executing agencies to ensure 100% expenditure of released funds under District/UT Capex by or before 15th December 2025. During the course of the meeting, BDOs were categorically directed to remain available at their respective Block Headquarters, promptly redress public grievances and ensure regular monitoring and supervision of all schemes. He further directed that names of delinquent officials showing laxity or dereliction of duty be furnished to his office for strict disciplinary action under the relevant rules.DD
