Active Membership of BJP launched

Jammu : TDD ,After the successful conduct of the first phase of BJP membership in Jammu and Kashmir, the party shifted to the second phase of exercise, the active membership.

The second phase/ the active membership was launched by BJP president Sat Sharma (CA) and general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, in presence of senior functionaries at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Both Sat Sharma and Ashok Koul, launched the active membership, after they had acquired their own active memberships on completing the laid down procedure and enrolling fifty primary members each through their own efforts.

Sat Sharma, on this occasion, said that the party activists across the UT deserve all the appreciation for contributing in the smooth conduct of primary membership drive by enrolling lakhs of members. In the second phase, i.e. active membership, the party’s senior and active activists are to be registered as active members and this exercise is to be completed by December 25, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Sat Sharma said that the party cadre has devoted time to cover maximum people for registering them as primary members in the recently completed primary membership and they have to now take up the second phase of active membership.

“The party has a healthy tradition of conducting membership after six years and every time the number of people getting membership of the party has gone up”, Sat said, adding that it is indicative of the resolve of the people to support and strengthen BJP as they are convinced that it is the only political party which works on the line of nation first and self.

Ashok Koul said that the programmes and policies of the BJP and the numerous welfare schemes and mega developmental projects launched by Narendra Modi government has further raised the popularity of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir like other states and UTs. It is the growing graph of BJP, which is attracting a large number of new members to get primary membership. He also complimented the senior leaders of the party engaged in primary membership for their focused efforts to complete the first phase.

BJP NEM & Headquarter Incharge Priya Sethi, BJP Active Membership Incharge Aseem Gupta, Co-Incharges Munish Sharma and Pawan Sharma, BJP Primary membership Incharge Munish Khajuria, BJP Jammu district president Parmod Kapahi, Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta, senior leader Sanjay Kumar Baru, District General Secretary Adv Rajesh Gupta, Mandal presidents Keshav Chopra and Atul Bakshi were present during the launching of active membership of the party.TDD
