ADDC Leh chairs meeting regarding Ladakh Festival 2025

Leh,DD, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Leh, Sonam Nurboo (JKAS) chaired a meeting on September 16 at the Conference Hall, DC Office Leh, with concerned departmental officers and stakeholders to review preparations for the upcoming Ladakh Festival 2025, scheduled from September 21 to 24.

The meeting deliberated on various activities planned to make the festival a spectacular occasion for the promotion of tourism and to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh.

The events schedule, venues, and the corresponding committees were finalized.

ADDC Leh emphasized that it is the collective role and responsibility of all committees to ensure the success and perfection of the festival. He urged members to actively participate, coordinate with each other, and not take their assigned duties lightly.

Committees including Cultural, Archery, Reception, Venue Management, Gongpa association, Horticulture, Handloom, Beautification and Decoration, among others, were discussed in detail.

Further ADDC Leh directed that adequate medical facilities be made available during the festival. Stressing the importance of archery, he instructed that maximum participation be ensured, including tourists, to make the event more engaging.

He also stressed the need to ensure comfort for the delegation from Tawang and suggested that they be given an opportunity to visit a monastery as part of their cultural experience.

Further, the ADDC Leh informed that the next review meeting will be held on September 19 to finalize the setting and other arrangements.DD
