Jammu :- Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, IPS, called a crucial meeting in the Jammu Police Control Room in a calculated attempt to strengthen the Legislative Assembly (GELA-2024) General Elections. The careful preparation of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) companies’ induction and de-induction for the first two stages of the elections was the main priority. The meeting, which was attended by CAPF representatives as well as senior officers from the Police and CAPF, highlighted how important it is to coordinate efforts to ensure a secure election process.
ADGP Jain emphasized the paramount importance of strategic deployment and efficient logistics management. He directed officials to work in lockstep to guarantee the safe induction and timely de-induction of CAPF companies across the region. The meeting delved into finalizing routes and timelines for CAPF deployment in sensitive areas, with a particular emphasis on establishing robust security mechanisms during these crucial phases.
ADGP Jain stressed the necessity of seamless coordination between Police and CAPF for intelligence sharing and operational planning. The welfare of CAPF personnel was also addressed, with a review of accommodation and logistical arrangements. As the meeting concluded, specific roles were assigned to officers, setting in motion a comprehensive security strategy aimed at safeguarding the democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir.
