The Hut of Remembrance is the sanctum sanctorum of the National Defence Academy.
It was built by the voluntary efforts (shramadan) of Cadets of 10th to 17th Courses to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Indian Soldiers during the Second World War and post- independence operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, it also became a living memorial for the Ex NDA Officers who made the supreme sacrifice during various combat operations. The memory of the Cadets who died as trainees at NDA is also enshrined here.
In a solemn ceremony, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of Naval Staff, the Reviewing Officer visited the Hut of Remembrance and paid homage to the brave hearts on the occasion of Passing Out Parade of 149th Course; to serve as a constant reminder to NDA Cadets of the lofty traditions of valour, courage and sacrifice set by their predecessors.DD
