“Aga Ruhullah Should Speak in Parliament, Not Criticise Govt Here,” says Minister Sakina Itoo

Srinagar:DD, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday strongly responded to the remarks of National Conference MP Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, telling him to fulfil his responsibility in Parliament instead of criticising the NC-led government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to media persons, Itoo said Ruhullah had been elected by the people to represent them in Delhi. “His job is to raise J&K’s core issues in the Parliament, not to point fingers here. Criticism won’t help students or the education system,” she remarked.

On the academic calendar, the Minister made it clear that all examinations across J&K would be held on schedule.

“Despite floods, a heatwave, and tense situations earlier this year, exams will go ahead as planned. There should be no confusion about it,” she asserted, adding that even damaged schools would not delay the process.

She said the department was consulting stakeholders to work out remedies for the academic loss faced by students.

“After last year’s reversal of the academic session, we have streamlined it. The system is now stable and exams will not be disrupted,” she added. (KNC)
