Jammu,DD,AIIMS Vijaypur, Jammu takes immense pride in announcing that Aarush Gupta, an MBBS student from the 2023 Batch, has been conferred with the prestigious Rashtrapati Scout Award at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on 22nd July 2025.
Representing the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, Aarush received the Rashtrapati Scout Award Certificate, personally signed by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in recognition of his outstanding service, leadership, and discipline in the field of scouting.
Aarush began his scouting journey in Grade 4 and has shown unwavering commitment ever since. His achievements include participation in multiple national-level camps and training programmes. He qualified for the Rajya Puraskar Award in 2019 and was felicitated by the Lt. Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, in 2021. Demonstrating continued excellence, he successfully cleared the President Scout Award Testing Camp in 2022, culminating in the honour bestowed at the national level this year.
Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu, congratulated Aarush on this remarkable achievement, stating, “It is a proud moment for the entire AIIMS family. Aarush’s recognition at the national level reflects the spirit of discipline, leadership and holistic growth that AIIMS Jammu strives to instil in its students.”
Dr. Shruti Sharma, Additional Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology, and mentor to Aarush, also extended her warm wishes, applauding his perseverance and passion. She remarked, “Aarush has brought great honour to our institute. His dedication serves as an inspiration to his peers and juniors alike.”
