Srinagar, (DD): Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari today issued a sharp statement, questioning the current government’s commitment to key promises for Jammu and Kashmir.
“This government has 50 MLAs—who says they can’t act? It’s not about numbers, it’s about the will to deliver,” Bukhari said in a pointed remark. “If they fail, by God’s grace, Apni Party will ensure the restoration of statehood, revive the J&K cadre, and bring back the youth who have been disillusioned.”
The statement underscores growing political pressure on the ruling administration to take decisive steps towards restoring J&K’s pre-August 2019 status and addressing growing youth alienation.
Bukhari’s remarks come amid a renewed push from regional parties seeking clarity on timelines and commitments from the Centre regarding J&K’s political future.( DD)
