Anantnag:DD, In a major success against absconding offenders, Police Station Aishmuqam have apprehended two individuals who had been evading arrest for more than ten years.
The arrests mark the culmination of sustained efforts, reliable intelligence gathering, and dedicated follow-up by the Aishmuqam police team.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Arif Ahmad Sheikh, son of Suleiman Sheikh, resident of Tagdi Nazirpora, Calcutta, wanted in FIR No. 39/2013 under sections 454, 380 RPC and Mohammad Shameem Sheikh, son of Minto Sheikh, resident of Kala Chowk, Tagdi Nazirpora, Calcutta, wanted in FIR No. 47/2013 under sections 454, 380 RPC.
Both accused were involved in separate burglary and theft cases registered in the year 2013 and had been absconding since 2014 to evade arrest. Acting on credible information and after meticulous technical and human surveillance, the police team successfully traced and arrested both absconders. (KNC)
