Jammu, (DD)Traffic Police City Jammu today arrested Shanker Kumar, son of Anil Kumar, resident of Kabir Basti, BC Road, for indulging in dangerous stunt driving on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The arrest follows public complaints and a viral video in which the accused was seen performing reckless stunts while deliberately concealing his e-rickshaw’s number plate to evade legal action.
An FIR (No. 109/2025) has been registered under Section 281/125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3/181/184 of the Motor Vehicles Act at Police Station Nagrota. The e-rickshaw involved has also been seized.
The arrest is part of an intensified crackdown by Traffic Police against stunt driving. Just days ago, a well-known YouTuber faced similar action for endangering lives on public roads.
