14 IAS & JKAS Officers Transferred Across Key Positions in J&K Administration

Srinagar, (DD): In a wide-ranging administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of 14 senior IAS and JKAS officers with immediate effect. Among the major changes, senior IAS officer Anshul Garg, currently serving as CEO of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, has been appointed as the new Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
The reshuffle, ordered by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration, aims to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency across departments and districts.
Key Administrative Changes:
Naveen S L (IAS), Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, with additional charge of Commissioner, Civil Aviation, relieving Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary of the additional responsibility.
Avny Lavasa (IAS), who was awaiting posting in the General Administration Department, has been appointed Secretary, Transport Department.
Vikas Kundal (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Poonch, has been appointed Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB).
Gurpal Singh (IAS), Director, Social Welfare Jammu, has been posted as Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL).
Sachin Kumar Vaishya (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Jammu, will now serve as CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Anil Banka (IAS) has been appointed Special Secretary, Finance Department.
Major District-Level Transfers:
Shrikant Balasaheb Suse (IAS), Managing Director JPDCL, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara.
Dr Rakesh Minhas (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Kathua, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
Ayushi Sudan (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, has been transferred to Deputy Commissioner, Samba.
Manzoor Ahmad Qadri (JKAS), Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, has been transferred and will await further posting in the General Administration Department.
Indu Kanwal Chib (JKAS), Chairperson JKSSB, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora.
Ashok Kumar Sharma (JKAS) has been appointed Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
Rajesh Sharma (JKAS), Deputy Commissioner Samba, will now serve as Deputy Commissioner, Kathua.
The reshuffle is seen as a routine but impactful move to ensure smoother administration and effective service delivery in the run-up to key governance milestones in the Union Territory.(DD)
