Anti-Terror Operation Gaddar: Two Soldiers Succumbed

Srinagar: DD, Two soldiers today succumbed to their critical injuries which they sustained during an ongoing encounter with the terrorists at Gudder forest area in Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of the bravehearts, Sub Perbhat Gaur and L/Naik Narinder Sindhu in the line of duty for the nation. Their courage and dedication will forever inspire us,” an X post from the Chinar Corps of Indian Army reads, regarding counter-terror operation Guddar – Kulgam.


The Indian Army has expressed deepest condolences and stands in solidarity with the bereaved family members.
Earlier, acting on the credible inputs about the presence of the terrorists, the Indian Army laid a search operation and accordingly cordoned off the forest area of Gudder.
During the searches, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire, triggering an encounter. In a heavy exchange of fire, the Army gunned down a terrorist, whose identity could not be established.
A JCO and two soldiers had sustained bullet injuries. The operation was underway to neutralise the rest of the terrorists. Further details are awaited.DD
