Army Defuses Powerful IED in Rajouri, Averts Major Tragedy

UDHAMPUR:TDD,A potential disaster was narrowly averted in the Saranoo area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir today as the Army successfully defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The explosive device, concealed near a roadside in Saranoo village, was discovered by a vigilant Area Domination Patrol Party.

The timely detection of the IED led to immediate action. Traffic on the busy Saranoo road was swiftly halted, and a Bomb Disposal Squad was dispatched to the scene. The experts carefully assessed the situation and, in a controlled operation, neutralized the explosive substance without causing any harm or damage.

According to official sources, the IED was found during an area domination patrol in Saranoo village. Upon identifying the suspicious object, security forces recognized it as a potential explosive threat. The Bomb Disposal Squad, with their expertise, swiftly responded and successfully defused the device.
The incident has prompted a thorough investigation by local police. A case has been registered, and authorities are working diligently to gather more information and apprehend those responsible for planting the IED.TDD
