Army has enhanced Operational footprints in Jammu region: GoC Sachdeva

Jammu, (TDD): The Indian Army has bolstered its presence in Jammu, particularly in the upper reaches of the Pir Panjal range, to strengthen security and foster stability.

Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, GoC of the 16 Corps, highlighted the Army’s increased use of technology, including helicopters, UAVs, and sensors, to ensure peace in the region.

During his visit to Rajouri, Lt Gen Sachdeva praised the synergy between civilians and security forces, especially in sensitive border districts like Rajouri and Poonch. He participated in a ‘Kaumi Ekta Meet’ to recognize the role of local communities in maintaining peace and stability.

The Corps Commander also lauded the efforts of the Ace of Spades Division in engaging communities through welfare initiatives and events such as the Mendhar Cricket Premier League, which he described as instrumental in promoting harmony and channeling youth energy positively(TDD)
