Akhnoor:DD, In a commendable display of joint civil-military cooperation, the Indian Army stationed at Pallanwala organized a free medical camp today in collaboration with the civil administration at Kharah.

The camp was set up with the aim of providing accessible healthcare services to the underserved population of the region.

A team of Army medical officers, paramedical staff and doctors from the state health department offered free consultations, diagnostic services and medicines to the local residents.

Over 130 females and 80 males including children from surrounding villages availed medical services, including general health check-ups, pediatrics, ophthalmology and dental care. Special awareness sessions on preventive healthcare, sanitation, hygiene and nutrition were also conducted.

Speaking on the occasion, Narinder Kumar, Tehsildar Kharah emphasized the importance of strong coordination between the Army and civil administration in addressing public welfare. He added, “The Army remains committed to supporting the local community not only during emergencies but also through initiatives that promote health and well-being.” The civil administration appreciated the Army’s initiative and assured continued cooperation in such outreach programs. Local residents expressed gratitude for the timely medical assistance and the professional medical care provided during the camp. This initiative reflects the Army’s enduring commitment to the nation and its citizens, reinforcing the message that the Armed Forces stand with the people always and every time.DD
