Jammu: TDD, Army Public School Damana, in collaboration with COE Chandigarh , proudly hosted an erudite and immersive two-day Capacity Building Program workshop focused on “ADOLESCENT EDUCATION” on 13 & 14 September 2024 at the Multipurpose Hall of the School. The event witnessed the gracious presence of the Chief Spokesperson Ms Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson and Mr. Vishal Gupta, HOD Science of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu.
The programme commenced with the Welcome Address presented by Ms Surabhi Rajput (PRT Computer). The workshop featured a series of five interactive sessions on 13 September 2024 led by
Ms Rohini Aima who is a CBSE Master Trainer of “School Health and Wellness Programme” by CBSE in collaboration with UNESCO & Resource person and Deputy Distt. Training Coordinator, Jammu for CBSE. The pivotal objective of the session was to articulate the views and opinions about adolescence and adolescents. The workshop also addressed the unique educational and developmental challenges faced by the adolescents. During the workshop, the educators, counselors, and school administrators were sensitized with the latest tools and methodologies which will enhance the learning experience of young individuals. The participants actively shared their experiences and best practices, creating a vibrant atmosphere of learning.
On 14 September 2024, Ms Rohini Aima & Mr Vishal Gupta elucidated upon the crucial topics of bullying and drug abuse amongst adolescents. The partakers assimilated in-depth knowledge about the eradication of drug abuse and how to respond to the bullying proficiently. The workshop featured interactive sessions, role plays and hands-on activities, enabling educators to gain an insight into effective strategies to be implemented in their respective Schools.
Ms Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana bestowed a commemorative souvenir to the Resource and proffered praise for their dedication towards fostering the comprehensive growth of adolescents. She accentuated that adolescence is a critical period and highlighted the importance of educators being supportive during this critical time.
The event was well managed by the event organizer Ms Anu Gupta (Vet. PRT) and the Vote of Thanks was presented by Ms Shikha Sharma (PRT). The workshop culminated with the National Anthem followed by the refreshment for all the participants and guests.TDD
