ARTO Kishtwar Conducts Extensive Vehicle Inspection; Fines Worth ₹1.9 Lakh Issued

IMRAN SHAH

Kishtwar, DD: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kishtwar Tasleem wani along with Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) Rakesh and the enforcement team, conducted an extensive inspection at the L&T Company site in Dool. During the operation, dozens of vehicles were checked, and three were e-challaned for various traffic violations, including overloading, resulting in fines amounting to ₹1,70,000.

In addition, over 40 vehicles were inspected on the Padder-Nagseni road, where 11 vehicles were found violating traffic rules. E-challans were issued, with an estimated fine of ₹20,000.

ARTO Kishtwar has strictly warned all drivers and transporters to adhere to traffic regulations or face strict action under the Motor Vehicles Act. The department remains committed to ensuring road safety and curbing violations across the district.DD
