Jammu,(DD Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that the abrogation of Article 370 marked the end of decades-long discrimination in Jammu and Kashmir, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership for bringing justice and equality to the region.

Speaking at an event commemorating Sant Kabir Das in Jammu, the LG described August 5, 2019, as a historic milestone that fully integrated J&K into the Indian Union and dismantled deep-rooted social and political inequalities.

He asserted that the constitutional changes ensured equal rights for all communities, putting an end to dynastic rule and selective governance.

“The era of discrimination and preferential treatment is over. No force can reverse this transformation,” he added.

Praising the Prime Minister’s role, Sinha stated,

“He united the nation not just geographically, but also emotionally, socially, and constitutionally. Today, every citizen in J&K stands empowered, with dignity and equal opportunity.”
