UDHAMPUR,TDD,To generate awareness among
students, a lecture on the topic “Career Options in Government and
Private Sectors and Registration on Portal” was organised in the
college campus here today.
The programme was organized by Career Counselling and Guidance Cell Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Education Department and District Employment Office Udhampur.

welcomed the resource person Abhishek Kumar District Employment public contact officer and convenor IQAC Dr Indu Khajuria Associate Professor HOD department of chemistry in the programme.
The resource person while delivering his lecture spoke in detail about
the different career options in Govt and private sectors. He told the
participants about the launch of a new portal ” www.jkemp.nic.in” by
the employment department and emphasized the need for registration there by everyone to get an unemployment id and certificate of unemployment.
He said that the certificate of unemployment is imperative for
applying in various government and private jobs. He also talked about the scheme PARBAS being implemented by the employment department in which free coaching to the aspirants of jkpsc and upsc posts is provided to the selected candidates.
He also exhorted the participants to participate in the district
employment fair which is being conducted quarterly by district
employment exchange.
