Poonch: DD, Indian Army conducted an awareness lecture on ‘Traffic Assistance’ for residents at Marhote with an aim to bring safe driving aspects and spread awareness.
32 local civilians including elders, youth and children attended the awareness lecture with great zeal and enthusiasm.
During the lecture, it was reiterated that road traffic accidents are one of the world’s largest hazards which can be avoided by following traffic rules.
The audience were educated to use helmets and seat belts while driving and traveling.
It was emphasized that if correctly used, seat belts can reduce the risk of death in a crash and use of helmets can reduce fatal and serious head injuries.
Locals were appealed to obey traffic rules, avoid driving under influence of alcohol and restrict usage of mobile phones while driving.
The locals appreciated the efforts of Indian Army in spreading awareness about critical issues on regular basis.DD
