Kishtwar,TDD, Department of Handicrafts Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Departments of Agriculture, Handloom, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Revenue, and other allied departments, organized an awareness program at Nali Panchayat – Bounjwah, a model panchayat.

The program aimed to educate people about various departmental schemes in Handicrafts, Handloom, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Revenue, and other allied areas.

During the event, District Officers from each department explained the eligibility criteria, procedures, and benefits of their respective departmental schemes. Pamphlets were distributed to participants by the Handicrafts and other Key Department.

The Agriculture Department ,led by the Chief Agriculture Officer,Kishtwar Amjed Hussain Malik also inaugurated a Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) and distributed agricultural implements like sickles to farmers.

Artisans, farmers, and all participants were encouraged to establish their own units by availing of these departmental schemes, fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

The aim of holding such camps in the model panchayat is to saturate these identified model panchayats with 78 key schemes rolled out by central and state govt on a modular basis. As this initiative has been launched by Worthy Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan so that beneficiary schemes are implemented and saturated efficiently at grass root level.TDD
