Awareness Program on “Drug Abuse and Preventive measures” held at Govt. High School Hardass

Kargil, DD, District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) Kargil conducted an awareness program under the campaign on “Drug Abuse and Preventive Measures” today at Govt High School Hardas Kargil. The event was organised in collaboration with IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education Kargil.

The program began with a speech by the Project Coordinator of DDAC Kargil, who highlighted the growing concerns regarding drug abuse in Kargil District. He also spoke about the free treatment facilities available at the DDAC Centre for individuals struggling with drug addiction, encouraging those in need to seek help.

Sheikh Bashir Shakiri, representing IKMT Kargil, addressed the students with a message about the dangers and causes of drug abuse. He emphasized the severe effects it can have on individuals and society and called upon everyone to fulfill their social and moral responsibilities to prevent the spread of this menace.

Sheikh Musa Ali Irfani, representing JUIAK, shared his thoughts with the students on the importance of maintaining discipline and strong social values. He stressed how drug abuse poses a serious threat to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

The event concluded with heartfelt words of thanks from the Principal of Govt High school Hardas Kargil, who expressed gratitude to DDAC, IKMT, JUIAK and the Education Department for their dedicated efforts in raising awareness and guiding the younger generation toward a healthier and more responsible future.DD
