Kargil, DD, The Tribal Research Institute, Ladakh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, successfully conducted an Awareness Programme on Pre & Post Matric Scholarships for Tribal Students titled “Unlocking Opportunities for Tribal Students.”
The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Jaffar Khan, Director, Tribal Research Institute, University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus.
The sessions were efficiently coordinated by Coordinators Zaibun Nissa, Zahida Batool, and Kaneez Fatima, under the supervision of Sajjad Bob who engaged with students and explained in detail the objectives, benefits, and eligibility criteria of various tribal scholarship schemes, with a focus on encouraging students to take full advantage of available opportunities.
The awareness programmes were held at the PM SHRI Govt. High School Thasgam, Drass, Govt. High School Kaksar and Govt. Higher Secondary School Drass.
During the sessions, the heads of institutions and the students appreciated the initiative, stating that such awareness programmes are the need of the hour and must be conducted frequently to inform the tribal masses about various government schemes aimed at their welfare and upliftment.
The program aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat and reflects the commitment of the Tribal Research Institute to ensuring inclusive and informed growth among tribal communities.DD
