As an inspiring initiative for the awareness of Agriculture, Horticulture , Neeraj Prajapati, who is also known as the ‘Bicycle Man of India’, has started a remarkable cycling journey in the Jammu division for educating farmers about the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP). This dedicated social activist, who had gained recognition earlier by cycling from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to spread millets awareness, is now focusing his efforts on spreading important agricultural information directly to the farming communities.
Prajapati’s current campaign, that began on December 11th from Jammu district, reflects his commitment to rural development and sustainable agriculture. Passing through ten districts of the Jammu division, he has transformed himself into a mobile awareness campaign for bringing information at the doorstep of farmers on government schemes. The campaign has already benefited thousands of farmers and produced a substantial impact on the awareness of Agricultural development programs of rural communities.
During his visit to Udhampur, Prajapati interacted meaningfully with the farmers of the Chenani area and conducted an informative session at the Horticulture Department, Udhampur. His hands-on approach towards spreading awareness has proved to be effective in breaking down the complexities of government schemes into easy-to-understand information for the farming community. Interactive sessions have helped farmers understand different agricultural initiatives and their possible benefits.
The date of his visit is also significant as it is going to end on December 23rd, which is Farmer’s Day in Jammu. This strategic planning highlights the importance of farmers in our society and reinforces the message of agricultural development. His next destination at Katra, Reasi is another step in his mission to reach every corner of the Jammu division with his message of sustainable farming practices.
Prajapati’s efforts to empower farmers with knowledge about the HADP scheme reflect his broader vision of transforming Indian agriculture through awareness and education. His unique approach of using a bicycle as his mode of transportation not only demonstrates environmental consciousness but also allows him to connect more intimately with rural communities.TDD
