Jammu, (TDD): Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Sat Sharma has strongly criticized the National Conference (NC), accusing it of attempting to revive “divisive and anti-national politics” in the Union Territory. Speaking at a function in Jammu, Sharma claimed the NC resolution sought to turn back the clock to a time when Pakistan had significant influence in J&K’s political affairs.
Recalling past events, Sharma said, “The first reaction to NC’s resolution was evident when BJP members were dragged out of the Legislative Assembly. We won’t allow such politics to resurface.”
Highlighting the positive impact of the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, Sharma said the decision had brought equality and justice to various marginalized groups, including women marrying outside J&K, Valmikis, and West Pakistani refugees. “The rollback of Article 370 restored honor, rights, and dignity to these communities who were sidelined for decades,” he added.
Sharma accused the NC of trying to undo these developments. “They are attempting to bring back the bad days when decisions in J&K were influenced by Pakistan. We will not let NC’s divisive agenda succeed,” he asserted(TDD)
