BJP is deliberately depriving people of Jammu and Kashmir Of Statehood: Sadhotra

Kathua, DD, BJP is deliberately depriving people of Jammu and Kashmir of their legitimate and constitutional rights to get full-fledged statehood, said today National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra while addressing a public meeting at PATHAL in Billawar Assembly Constituency. The public meeting was organized by Ishar Dass, Capt
Zakir Hussain and Raja Rafiq.


Addressing the public meeting, Additional General Secretary National Conference said BJP is betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir by not giving full-fledged statehood inspite of the fact that BJP has promised in both the houses of
Parliament and also given commitment in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to give statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are not asking for anything which is unconstitutional but it is their right and BJP
government at Delhi should fulfill their promises.
Mr Sadhotra said statehood is not only for Dr. Farooq Abdullah Saheb or Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saheb or National Conference, it is demand and aspiration of whole of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and all the political parties are demanding statehood.


Former Minister said that dual control in sensitive part of the country like Jammu and Kashmir is detrimental for the development and employment of J&K.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir always stood test of the time either it was war or militancy.
National Conference Additional General Secretary said it is high time that BJP should rise above their petty political moves and give full-fledged statehood to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Local people raised their concerns for their link roads, water supply and electricity supply.

National Conference leader assured that their problems will be taken up at government level with appropriate authorities.The meeting was addressed by Mohd Ayoub Malik Provincial Secretary, Sham
Narayan Mehta President Kathua District, Aisha Gupta and Shallu spoke on the occasion.
