BMO, Khaltse Organizes Medical Mobile Unit Camp at Alchi Village

Khaltse: DD, A successful Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) camp was organized by Dr. Shamim Ahmad, Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Khaltse, at Alchi village on February 11, 2025. The camp provided a variety of medical services to the local community, including consultations from a medical officer, dental care, laboratory services, NCD counseling, AFHC and RBSK services.

A total of 47 patients received medical attention, including 24 General OPD patients, 16 dental patients, 5 RBSK patients and 2 AFHC patients.
NCD screenings were also done of said patients and 59 laboratory tests were conducted during the camp.
The primary focus of the camp was on screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition, and anemia, with an emphasis on early detection and intervention to improve the health of the local population.

During the camp, Dr. Adnand Shah, Medical Officer; Dr. Shaista Iqbal, Dental Surgeon; Thinles Gyailson, dental Assistant; Sonam Thinlas, Laboratory Assistant; Toldan, NCD Councillor and Tsering Diskit, AFHC Councillor were present.

The camp was well-received by the community, contributing to better health awareness and providing much-needed access to essential healthcare services.DD
