Jammu:TDD, In a significant step towards curbing the menace of illicit liquor, Jammu Police, under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, have arrested a bootlegger and seized a substantial quantity of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah.
As Per Reports Police Party of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura and SP headquarters apprehended one person namely Deepak Singh S/O Garh Singh R/O Sarore Bishna Jammu and recovered 330 bottles of Jk Desi Whisky (180 ml each) and 24 bottles of Beer (500 ml each) from his possession.
In this connection,case FIR No. 191/2024 pursuant to section 48(a) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation of case is ongoing.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is the 5th FIR registered against bootleggers in Police Station Bishnah within weeks time only.TDD
