Udhampur :TDD,Police team of Police Station Majalta led by its SHO while performing patrolling/vehicle checking duty at Battal, Dhar road stopped one vehicle (load Carrier) bearing registration No. JK06B-3913 for checking purpose. During checking of said vehicle, 04 no. of bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
Bovine smugglers namely Manzoor Ahmed S/O Mohd. Shafi R/O Ponda Dhar, Doda and his associate Mohd. Shafi S/O Ahamdu Attu R/O Shodan Dhar, Doda have been arrested on spot.
All the bovines were rescued and have been shifted to a safer place. In this regards, case FIR No. 02/2025 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Majalta.Further investigation of the case is underway,TDD
