UDHAMPUR:TDD, Police Tuesday claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid in Udhampur.
Following intelligence inputs, a police team from Police Post Roundomail have foiled one bovine smuggling attempt in which 13 bovines were rescued from vehicle bearing registration number No. JK14G-6357 from Roundomail naka point, Udhampur.
The driver of the vehicle stopped his vehicle approx 100 meters away from the naka point and fled away from the spot. All the 13 bovines were rescued and have been shifted to a safer place and vehicle seized.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 493/2024 U/S 223 (a) BNS 11 PCA Act stands registered in Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation of the case is in progress,TDD
