Jammu:TDD, A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Air Force Station in Jammu to honor the sacrifice of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, who valiantly laid down his life in the line of duty. The ceremony was attended by senior military officials, including the General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, Lt Gen Navin Sachedeva, and Air Commodore S S Rawat, Air Officer Commanding of the Air Force Station.
Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, a member of the elite 2 Para (SF), made the supreme sacrifice on November 9, 2024, during a joint counter-terrorism operation in the general area of Bhart Ridge in Kishtwar. His unwavering courage and dedication to the nation have set an inspiring example for all.
The ceremony was a poignant tribute to the fallen hero, recognizing his selfless service and the ultimate sacrifice he made for the country.
