Udhampur, TDD: As part of the ongoing “Swachhata Hi Sewa” fortnight and Cleanliness Day 4.0, the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Border Security Force (BSF) in Udhampur conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive at the Railway Station Ramnagar and its surrounding areas in Roun Udhampur (J&K).
Approximately 500 personnel from the BSF, GRP, and RPF, along with local residents, enthusiastically participated in this initiative. BSF personnel cleaned and picked up garbage from the platform, Tracks and Surrounding areas of Ramnagar Railway Station as a Part of Swachhata hi Sewa 4.0
Addressing the Inspector General Gurung emphasized the significance of cleanliness in our lives and the environment. He stressed that through collective cooperation and awareness, we can initiate a sustainable cleanliness process in our homes and communities. A clean society is a progressive society, he added.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining a clean environment, the IG stated that it is a moral responsibility of everyone. A clean surrounding not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of an area but helps in preventing diseases. He urged people to inculcate the habit of cleanliness and sensitize children about its importance.
