ARNIA,DD: Troops of BSF’s recovered an AK-47 rifle and an empty magazine during a search operation ahead of the border fence in Budhwar area, sources said on Tuesday.
Acting on the inputs, the BSF troops deployed at Border out Post (BOP) Budhwar launched a search operation ahead of the border fence.
During the course of the operation, the BSF party recovered one AK-47 rifle along with one empty AK-47 magazine concealed in the area, they said.
Sources further said that the recovered weapon and magazine were subsequently secured and taken into custody by the BSF for further necessary action, they said.

The recovery indicates the possibility of terrorist movement or attempts of weapon smuggling from across the border. The area is being further sanitized and additional searches have been launched to rule out the presence of any other suspicious material, sources said. (KNC)
