Jammu :-TDD,On Constitution Day, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in celebrated and declared its commitment to protect and respect the Constitution as a sacred document for all citizens. The program, held at Party Office Satwari brought together BSP seniors, including State President Darshan Rana, State Vice President Charanjit Chargotra, State Coordinator Gurbaksh Gourav, State General Secretary Shashi Bushan Thapa and others. They paid tribute to Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee, emphasizing his significant role in shaping the Constitution. Darshan Rana, State President, highlighted the constitutional values that reflect the idea of a secular and inclusive India. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the Constitution and ensuring its true spirit is upheld. During the event, Darshan Rana recalled Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s contributions, emphasizing his representation of the aspirations of all sections of the pluralistic country, especially the marginalized classes. He criticized the current government for its attempts to undermine constitutional institutions and weaken the authority of the Constitution, suppressing the voices and rights of the people. Rana echoed concerns about present challenges and attacks on the Constitution, urging people to stand against such attempts by the government. Rana highlighted Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s contributions and the BSP’s role in framing a secular and socialistic constitution aimed at ensuring equality and equal opportunities for all. He emphasized that upholding the spirit of the constitution and its implementation is crucial for keeping the country united and strong. Several other speakers praised the important features of the Constitution and acknowledged the services of Baba Sahib Dr. Ambedkar and BSP stalwarts.
