Kishtwar, (DD): The much-anticipated CASCO Cricket Tournament concluded on a high note at Eid Gah Ground, Mughalmaidan, with the Wani Brothers emerging victorious, securing a cash prize of Rs 18,000.

The runners-up, Palmar, put up a strong fight in the final, earning Rs 10,000 for their commendable performance.

The tournament, featuring 24 teams, was a grand celebration of cricket, with a special highlight being a girls’ cricket match, reflecting the growing inclusivity in sports. Captains and teams were felicitated with trophies and medals, marking their dedication and competitive spirit.

A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the presence of Maan Singh Ji, father of para-archer Sheetal Devi, as the chief guest. He distributed mementos to the players and well-wishers, inspiring young athletes with his words of encouragement.
The tournament received immense support from Pakiza Jaan, who played a pivotal role in motivating the participants. The tireless efforts of the event organizers, Er. Anil Kumar Shan and Tousif Wani, were widely appreciated for making the tournament a resounding success.
