CCIU Doda Scores Big: Recovers Over Rs. 1.4 Lakh in Online Fraud Case

Udhampur,TDD,The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police District Doda has once again displayed its dedication to fighting cybercrime. In a recent case, the unit successfully recovered a defrauded online amount of Rs. 148,654/- for victims, showcasing their commitment to public safety.

The J&K Police District Doda released a statement detailing the operation. The CCIU received complaints from Nasreena Begum and Feroz Ahmed Dar, who had fallen prey to online fraud. The CCIU team, known for their advanced technical skills, launched a thorough investigation. Their tireless efforts resulted in the retrieval of the defrauded sum, bringing relief to the victims.

Established in February 2024, the CCIU Doda has become a formidable force against cybercrime. Since its inception, the unit has recovered a staggering Rs. 26,26,688/- in defrauded funds, highlighting their effectiveness.

SSP Doda, Mohd Aslam IPS, commended the team’s efforts. He urged the public to remain vigilant against online threats and report any suspicious activity to the National Helpline number 1930 or lodge complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in.
