Kargil, DD: Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today interacted with the students of Government High School Bartu who were on an exposure tour within district Kargil. As part of the tour, the students visited District Hospital Kargil, SKUAST, and the Council Secretariat.
Addressing the students, Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon reiterated that education is the top priority of LAHDC Kargil. He stressed that education is the true means of development and encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, assuring them of all possible support from the Council.
He further underlined that such exposure tours are important for the physical as well as mental well-being of students, helping them gain practical knowledge beyond the classroom.
On the occasion, school faculty members put forth a demand for the development of a playground for the school. In response, the Hon’ble Chairman assured that if suitable land is available, the playground will be sanctioned.
Dr Akhoon also expressed gratitude to the school management for taking such initiatives, which broaden the vision of students and complement their educational journey.DD
