Delhi, DD: LAHDC Chairman/CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson met the Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and briefed him on some of the most pertinent issues concerning the region. During the meeting, some of these issues were discussed during the meeting include the existing budgetary allocation to LAHDC was emphasized by Adv. Gyalson and the requirement of additional support from the Special Development Package (SDP) to meet the growing needs of the region.
There was a thorough discussion on the current Ladakh-specific problems with the aim of solving them as a whole.
The CEC placed stress on the recruitment process and also an integrated policy of land regularization.
Increased air connectivity was urged by Adv. Gyalson to enhance accessibility and promote tourism in Ladakh, which will be beneficial to the local economy as the flow of tourists in the region has begun.
CEC, Leh also apprised the development activities that have taken place after Ladakh became a Union Territory and extended an invitation to visit Ladakh and inaugurate various projects.
Additionally he brought forth other developmental issues in the region, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured his full support.DD
