CEC Leh Meets President and General Secretary of Asoka Mission

Leh: DD, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson held a meeting with Former Member of Parliament and President of Asoka Mission, Thupstan Chhewang, along with the General Secretary of Asoka Mission, Tsering Motup.

The meeting included discussions on the annual charitable medical camps organized by Asoka Mission in collaboration with specialist doctors from AIIMS, New Delhi.

They apprised the CEC that this year’s camps will be held from 14th to 21st September 2025, covering Leh from 14th to 18th September and Nubra from 19th to 20th September.

A team of around 30 doctors from nearly all major departments will be participating in the camps.

The delegation also expressed their gratitude to the CEC for his continued support towards the initiative.

They further conveyed their heartfelt thanks for his efforts in recommending Venerable Lama Lobzang, the long-serving President of Asoka Mission, for the Padma Shri Award, which was conferred posthumously in recognition of his lifelong service to humanity.

The CEC, while appreciating the sustained efforts of Asoka Mission in the healthcare sector of Ladakh, assured the delegation of his continued support in ensuring the successful conduct of the annual medical camps.DD
