Leh, DD, The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson extended a warm and traditional welcome to His Holiness Drikung Skyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche upon his arrival in Leh on April 30.
A large number of devotees and dignitaries gathered to receive His Holiness with great reverence and ceremonial fervor.
Among those present were His Eminence Bakula Rangdol Nyima Rinpoche, His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche, Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Councillors, Founder President of MIMC Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, LGA President Gyen Tsering Angdu, LBA Women’s Wing President Kunzes Dolma Jawo, LBA Youth Wing President Jigmet Raftan, LGA Vice President Dorjey Stanzin, LBA Vice President Dr. Kunzes Dolma, and other dignitaries.
During his stay, His Holiness will preside over the revered Drigung Snake Year Teaching ceremony. This important spiritual event is part of the Drigung Yarchos Chenmo (Grand Summer Teachings), a tradition with a legacy of over 800 years.
The monastery has announced the schedule, and devotees from across the region are expected to attend the auspicious teachings.DD
