Leh, DD, The 41st birthday of His Eminence the 8th Choskyong Palga Rinpoche was celebrated with great reverence and joy on June 28, at Naljorling, Chuchot Yokma.
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson attended the celebration as chief guest.
Also present were His Eminence Tsamthul Rinpoche, Vice President of Anjuman Imamia Sheikh Nazir Ahmed Sharifi, CRO Tibetan Settlement Leh Tashi Dhondup,Tsering Paljor Otsal Mazda union president along with other dignitaries and devotees.
The event featured a ceremonial welcome by the Naljorling Society with the Ladakh Scouts Band, Choslu offerings, a welcome address, and the launch of Naljorling’s official logo.
The celebration included cultural performances by the Yaya Group, Tibetan Society, Hanle Group, and Naljorling Society, along with a Vietnamese dance and Katag felicitation ceremony in honour of Rinpoche.
H.E. Palga Rinpoche, in his address, expressed deep gratitude to the gathering and spoke about the importance of selflessness, spiritual grounding, and collective well-being. Reaffirming his commitment to serving the people of Ladakh, he particularly stressed the need to support and guide the youth in today’s challenging times.
CEC Tashi Gyalson extended his warm wishes to H.E. Rinpoche on the auspicious occasion and wished for his long life and good health.
He lauded Rinpoche’s significant role in guiding Ladakh’s spiritual and social fabric, particularly through his outreach to the youth.
The CEC also stated that several Council-led initiatives such as coaching centres, skill development programmes, yoga, and cultural promotion, have been aligned with this shared vision of youth empowerment and community development.
He expressed hope for future collaboration with Naljorling in continuing this work.
Rinpoche appreciated the Council’s continued efforts for youth development and thanked CEC for his inclusive and proactive leadership.
He also acknowledged the presence and support of community leaders and organisations.
The programme concluded with collective prayers for the long life of H.E. Rinpoche and for Ladakh’s continued spiritual and cultural growth. The celebration reflected unity, devotion, and a shared vision for youth empowerment and the preservation of sacred traditions.DD
