Srinagar, (TDD): A heavy blanket of snow transformed Srinagar and the surrounding regions of Kashmir into a magical winter landscape, bringing immense joy to the children.

Eager to embrace the rare snowfall, they rushed outdoors, turning the frosty scene into a playground of creativity as they built snowmen, crafted portraits, and shaped imaginative figures.

With each fresh snowfall, the streets of Srinagar were filled with laughter, as children delighted in shaping intricate snowmen with button eyes and carrot noses, while others enthusiastically sculpted snow portraits, capturing the essence of their faces in the icy canvas.

“I have been waiting for this snow for weeks!” said 11 -year-old Aaatif Ahmed, his face lighting up as he proudly showed off a snowman he had built with his friends. “It’s so much fun to create things with the snow. I even made a snow portrait of my friend Sidra!”

Sobiya, who was carefully sculpting her own snow likeness, beamed with joy. “This is the best day ever. It feels like the snow is a giant canvas for all of us. I made my face in the snow, and everyone is having a great time!”

The sense of festivity spread throughout the community as the snowfall not only brought joy to the children but also provided a unique opportunity for everyone to connect with nature and celebrate the beauty of the season.

“I love watching the kids play in the snow. It brings so much joy and energy to the community,” said Nazir Akhmed, a local shopkeeper. “The snowfall has brought a different kind of magic to our daily lives today.”

The excitement continued to grow, with more children joining in the fun. As the snowfall persisted, it promised to create lasting memories for the children of Kashmir, making this winter one to remember.(TDD)
