3 more bodies retrieved from debris, toll more than 51; 66 injured shifted to GMC Jammu

KISHTWAR,DD: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, today reached Kishtwar town.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit the Chishoti village in Padder, and review the ongoing relief and rescue operations tomorrow. He is accompanied by Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, and other administrative officials.
Meanwhile, the rescue operation has been intensified with the involvement of volunteers, and multiple rescue teams involving Indian Army, J&K Police, Paramilitary personnel, NDRF/SDRF.
Today, the rescue teams have retrieved three more bodies of the cloudburst victims from the debris.
As per the reports, a total of around 51 pilgrims have lost their lives in the devastating cloudburst in Chishoti village, Padder, Kishtwar.
So far, 66 injured pilgrims, and locals from Kishtwar have been shifted to the Government Medical College, and Hospital, Jammu for specialized treatment.DD
