Civil-Military Conference in Kharu Fosters ‘Whole of Nation Approach’

KHARU: DD, The 3rd Infantry Division’s ongoing Civil-Military Fusion Capsule hosted a joint conference today at the BDO conference hall in Kharu, bringing together representatives from the Indian Army and local civil administration.
The conference, which is part of a five-day program to strengthen cooperation in border areas, was chaired by SDM Kharu Sonam Dorjay.
The joint conference served as a platform for an open dialogue aimed at fostering a ‘whole of nation approach’ for the development of border regions and enhancing the operational efficiency of the armed forces. Dignitaries from the 3rd Infantry Division, including Lt. Col Varun and Lt. Col AP Singh, were present.


All departments of the Kharu Sub-Division briefed the attendees on their work. Key presentations were delivered by: Khalida Parveen, Deputy CEO, on the Education Department, and Dr. Padma Yangzom, Technical Officer, on the Sheep Husbandry Department.
The Block Development Officer/Agriculture Extension Officer on the Rural Development and Agriculture Departments.
Other key participants included Tsering Sangrup, AEE, PDD; Sonam Nilza, CDPO; Stanzin Kunkhen, SHO; and Rafiq Bhat, TSO, who also provided updates on their respective departments.
The conference concluded with a collaborative discussion on the future scope of joint operations and synergistic projects between the army and civil administration. The shared objective is to create a more integrated and effective framework for border area development.DD
