Kathua, (DD): At least four people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a cloudburst struck the Ghati area of Kathua district on Sunday morning.
Officials said the sudden cloudburst caused extensive damage, washing away several houses and affecting vital infrastructure, including the local police station, a railway track, and stretches of the National Highway in Janglot and adjoining areas.
Rescue teams, comprising police, SDRF, and local volunteers, have been deployed to clear debris and provide immediate relief to the affected families. Authorities are continuing efforts to restore normalcy in the region(DD)
