Srinagar,(DD): In a mark of respect for the 26 lives lost in the Pahalgam attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has directed all government offices across the Union Territory to observe a two-minute silence at 3:30 PM today.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister stated
“All government offices across J&K will observe a two-minute silence at 3:30 PM today in honour of those killed in the Pahalgam tragedy. This is a moment to reflect, to mourn, and to stand together in sorrow. Kashmir shares the grief of the nation
The move comes as part of a series of solidarity measures undertaken by the administration, as public mourning continues across the Valley.
Officials have been instructed to ensure dignified conduct during the observance, with special arrangements made in key administrative hubs like the civil secretariat and district offices.(DD)
