Jammu , DD: A condolence meeting of office bearers of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (ICMS) was held under the chairmanship of its President Romesh Chander Gupta.
While paying tributes to Justice (Retired) Vinod Kumar Gupta, the President said that it is an irreparable loss and prayed for his moksh in Vaikunth Dham and also sought strength and courage for the bereaved family to bear this loss
His death has shocked the Jammuities, particularly the Mahajan community, he said.
Ramesh Chander Gupta shared that he started his practice in Jammu in 1970, where he took keen interest in the Jammu Bar Association. During his period as Judge in J&K High Court he was appointed as Vice President of Jammu Club and many more improvements were done especially expansion of its infrastructure. He also became Central Government Standing Counsel and was later appointed as Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir in 1990. He served as judge of Calcutta High Court. He was appointed as 1st. Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court in November 2000. Justice Gupta was very social and was a widely travelled person. He used to donate in our Sabha for the welfare of widow funds regularly His vision and mission will be remembered forever.
Prominent among others also paid tributes to the departed soul included Rajinder Gupta, General Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Sabha, Ajay Gupta (Vice Chairman Mahajan Bhawan Haridwar), Shiv Partap Gupta (Sr Vice President), Subash Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Atul Gupta (Vice Presidents), Balbir Gupta Secretary), Satish Gupta, Darshan Gupta and others.DD
