Kishtwar,DD; In a significant step toward providing relief to families affected by road accidents, the district administration distributed compensation cheques under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund.
The event, held in the office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, was attended by ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani and other concerned officials. As part of the initiative, financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each was provided to the legal heirs of eight deceased victims of road accidents.
The beneficiaries of the compensation included:
- Haqiqat Singh (S/o Sewa Ram), R/o Garh Paddar
- Mukesh Kumar (S/o Maan Singh), R/o Garh Paddar
- Ashish Kumar (S/o Chuni Lal), R/o Atholi Paddar
- Raj Kumar (S/o Panna Lal), R/o Garh Paddar
- Gh. Hussain Dar (S/o Gh. Ali Dar), R/o Dadpeth Kishtwar
- Ashfaq Hussain (S/o Mohd Ashraf), R/o Trigam Kishtwar
- Mohd Ashraf (S/o Bashir Ahmed Sheikh), R/o Pani Nallah Drabshalla
- Rehana Begum (W/o Ashiq Hussain), R/o Jawala Pur Bunjwah
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting victims’ families and ensuring timely assistance. The administration reaffirmed its dedication to providing relief and justice to those affected by such tragedies.
