Jammu: DD, Members of the Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today disclosed that they will hold a door-to-door contact campaign in all the villages across Jammu and Kashmir to mark the celebration of completing its 100-year of foundation.
This year, on Vijayadashami, 2nd October, the RSS will complete 100 years of its establishment. The program will begin from that day.
On that day, the programs will be held in full uniform in all mandals and cities across the province. Over the next year, along with the door-to-door contact campaign, gatherings, Hindu conferences, intellectual meetings, and social harmony meetings will be organized in cities. Literature will be distributed door-to-door. Special programs for the youth will also be held.
At the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha baithak held in Bengaluru from 21st to 23rd March, a resolution was passed regarding the atrocities on minority Hindus in Bangladesh, calling on the global community to support Hindus in Bangladesh.
The meeting expressed deep concern about the ongoing systematic violence, injustice, and persecution of Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh by Islamic extremist elements. This is clearly a serious issue of human rights violations.
The representative assembly has requested the Indian government to continuously engage in dialogue with the Bangladeshi government and take all possible measures to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.
On the occasion of the RSS centenary, a resolution was also passed in the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha baithak. In these 100 years, the RSS has earned unwavering trust and affection from society through the values imparted by its daily shakhas (branches). During this period, RSS volunteers, through love and sincerity, have strived to move beyond pride and prejudice, working together to unite all. On this centennial occasion, it is our duty to remember the revered saints, the virtuous powers of society, whose blessings and support have always been our strength in all circumstances, the selfless workers who dedicated their lives, and the volunteers in silent service.
On the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of India’s unparalleled woman freedom fighter, Queen Abbakka, a statement was also issued by RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale in the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha baithak. Queen Abbakka of Ullal was a skilled administrator, an undefeated strategist, and a great warrior. She successfully ruled the Ullal region in South Kanara (Karnataka). On the occasion of her 500th birth anniversary, the RSS paid heartfelt tributes to her indomitable legacy.
Queen Abbakka not only defended her small state from Portuguese invasions with extraordinary military skills but also demonstrated diplomatic acumen by forming alliances with neighboring states. She was also a capable leader of the navy.
Regarding RSS branches, nationwide, there are 83,129 daily shakhas, 32,147 Milan, and 12,091 Sangh Mandalis. In the Jammu & Kashmir province, there are 678 daily shakhas, 394 Milan, and 328 monthly Mandalis.
The target for the province is to start as many branches as possible by this Vijayadashami. All workers are making efforts at their level to achieve this.
The RSS has urged everyone to celebrate the Bharatiya vedic New Year with enthusiasm. This year, the Indian New Year (Chaitra Shukla Pratipada) falls on 30th March, and the Vikram Samvat 2082 will begin. Therefore, the entire society should celebrate this day grandly, create a festive atmosphere in their homes, and display the saffron flag. (Source: Press Release)DD
