Rajouri: DD, The Indian Army at Samote has been working tirelessly for the welfare of the local populace.
It is committed to transforming the perception of the underprivileged population, ultimately contributing to sustained peace and prosperity in the region.
As part of this initiative, the Indian Army at Samote conducted an awareness lecture on “Cyber Fraud” at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Samote, on 10 July 2025. The primary aim of this lecture was to raise awareness about cybercrime and its impact on society.
The session covered various technical aspects of cyber threats such as online fraud, identity theft, cyberbullying, phishing, and the misuse of social media. Practical tips and precautions were shared to help attendees protect themselves in the digital world.
The lecture also emphasized that cyber fraud is one of the major security challenges currently faced not just by India, but globally. A total of 58 students attended the session.
They actively participated, shared their views, and pledged to spread awareness in their villages about the nuances of cyber fraud.
Both teachers and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army and left the session enlightened about the dangers of cyber fraud and the ways to avoid falling victim to it.DD
